一、题型分析

词形变换是中考英语中一个常用题型，它所涉及到的形式主要包括：名词的单复数及所有格，代词的主格和宾格以及相应的物主代词形式，数词的适当形式(基数词和序数词)，动词的正确形式（单数第三人称、过去式、过去分词、现在分词），非谓语动词（尤其是不定式和动名词）；形容词和副词的比较级；等等。

二、命题形式

词形变换题一般有三种出题形式：第一种是根据所给要求变换词形；第二种是根据句意用括号内所给词的适当形式填空（这是全国各地采用最多的命题形式）；第三种是在括号内给出汉语，要求考生根据句子意思及所给汉语提示，写出空缺处各单词的正确形式。第一种题型，即根据括号内的要求变换词形，比较简单，要做好它主要靠平时多积累。第二、三种题型则较复杂，它不仅涉及词语的正确形式，而且还涉及句意和语法等多个方面。

三、答题方法

要做好该类题应注意以下三点：一是要通读全句，弄清句意；二是要弄清所给单词的词义、词性以及具体要求；三是要考虑到所填词在特定语境中的用法以及相关句子结构对它的限制。
