一、引导原因状语从句的连词

引导原因状语从句的从属连词主要有because, as, since, seeing (that), now (that), considering (that) 等。如：

I didn’t recognize him because he had altered so much. 我没认出他来，因为他变了许多。

I went to bed early, as I was exhausted. 睡得早，因为我筋疲力尽了。

Since you’ve accepted the invitation, I’ll also accept it. 既然你已接受邀请，那我也接受邀请。

Seeing that he’s ill he’s unlikely to come. 因为他病了，他大概不来了。

The list is up to date now that we’ve added the new members’ names. 我们把新成员的名字已经加进去了，这份名单是最全的了。

Considering he’s only been learning English a year he speaks it very well. 考虑到他学英语才一年，他英语讲得是很好的。

二、引导方式状语从句的连词

引导方式状语从句的从属连词主要有as, as if, as though, the way, how等。如：

You must do as your parents tell you. 你必须按你父母说的去做。

They treated the child as if she were their own. 他们待这孩子像亲生的一样。

The didn’t do it the way we do now. 那时他们不像我们现在这样行事。

The steak is cooked just how I like it. 牛排正像我喜欢的那样做了。
