技巧6  利用对称结构抢分

此法指的是在做题过程中要善于利用and, but等并列连词。若其前是个句子，则其后也必定是个句子，反之亦然；若连接的是几个动词，这几个动词也必定是同一时态或同一形式。如：

1. It is worth considering what makes “convenience” foods so popular, and ______ better ones of your own.

A. introduces             B. to introduce          C. introducing           D. introduced

【分析】C。句中的并列连词and连接的是两个对称的并列成分，由于其前的considering…为动名词，所以空格处也要用动名词。

2. ______ the website of the Fire Department in your city, and you will learn a lot about firefighting.

A. Having searched    B. To search            C. Searching             D. Search

【分析】做本题的关键词是and。由and可知这是一个并列句，and的后面是句子，其前面也应是句子。由于句首无主语，可推断它是祈使句，所以选动词原形，即答案为D。
