All the people here work hardly. 正:All the people here work hard. Spring is my most favourite season. 正:Spring is my favourite season. 误:Don’t drink or drive. 正:Don’t drink and drive. 析:在多数情况下,在否定词后应用 or 而不用 and来连接两个并列成分,但有时也用 and,不过意思不同:否定词+A or B=既不A也不B(否定A和B两者),否定词+A and B=不同时既A又B (将A和B作为一个整体来否定)。 Don’t drink and drive. She can’t sing or dance. She can’t sing and dance. There are trees on every side of the road. 正:There are trees on each side of the road. 正:There are trees on both sides of the road. 指两者中的“每(一)”,英语可用 each(同时它也可指多者)。 5. During he was in Europe, he visited many places. 误:During in Europe, he visited many places. 正:During his stay in Europe, he visited many places. 正:While he was in Europe, he visited many places. He could tell her about the matter. 误:He can have told her about the matter. 正:He could have told her about the matter. Today is my grandfather's eighty birthday. 正:Today is my grandfather's eightieth birthday. Your work is bad, but mine is more bad. 正:Your work is bad, but mine is worse. Please knock the door before entering. 正:Please knock at the door before entering. She knocked me on the head. The boy knocked down an apple with a pole. I won’t tell anybody what is happened. 正:I won’t tell anybody what has happened. He happened an accident yesterday. He met with an accident yesterday. |
