He failed in everything he tried. If we should fail in this, we are ruined. He failed (in) his driving-test. She failed (in) her exams again. The teacher failed half the class. I passed the written paper but failed on my oral. The teacher failed me on the written paper. She failed to turn up for work on Monday. I fail to see why you find it so amusing. He failed to persuade her. 正:He failed in persuading her. 4. I’ll bring you that book next time, without fail. I will give you a present on your birthday without fail. |
